PixelCompass Digital Engineering Package
This package contains all the necessary files to build your own PixelCompass. Please read the following instructions carefully before proceeding with assembly and firmware flashing.
3D Printing and Finishing
The included 3D models (STEP and 3MF formats) are provided in a raw, uncolored state. You will need to customize the colors during the printing process or through post-processing.
Filament Requirements
- Bambu PLA Lite White 16103
- Bambu PLA Basic Black 10101
- Bambu PLA Basic Gray 10103
- Bambu PLA Basic Light Gray 10105
Note: All enclosures are designed with specific tolerances for 3D printing. Results may vary depending on your printer’s calibration.
Firmware Flashing
The firmware is provided in .hex format within your downloaded package. To flash the device:
- Download and install the WCHISPTool utility.
- Enter Boot Mode:
- New Chips: Automatically enter boot mode upon first power-up.
- Manual Entry: Hold the Function Button (right side of USB-C port) while plugging in the device.
- Open WCHISPTool, select the provided .hex file, and click Download.
Device Activation
Once the firmware has been successfully flashed, the device must be activated to unlock full functionality.
- Visit the Dashboard and connect your device.
- Read your unique MAC Address from the Device Status card.

Send an email to support@chaosgoo.com including:
- Your Order Number (from Ko-fi)
- The MAC Address displayed
- Once verified, you will receive an Activation Code. Enter this code on the Dashboard to finalize the process.
